Simple Paste - Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 12.02.2026
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how SimplePaste (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information.
1. Information Accessed and Core Functionality
The App requires access to the following features to provide its core service:
Local Storage & Media: Used to store your shortcuts (text, URLs, images, or documents). All shortcut content is stored locally on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit your personal shortcuts to any external servers.
Security (PIN): If enabled, your PIN is stored locally to protect your data. We do not have access to your PIN.
Internet Access: Used to display advertisements and to fetch website icons (favicons) for URL shortcuts.
2. Advertising and Data Collection (Meta Audience Network)
To keep the App free, we display advertisements provided by Meta Audience Network (Facebook).
Data Collected by Third Parties: Meta may automatically collect certain information to serve personalized ads, including your device's advertising ID (AAID/IDFA), device type, and technical data about your connection.
Purpose: This data is used by Meta for ad personalization, frequency capping, and performance analytics.
Third-Party Policy: For more information on how Meta manages your data, please visit their Privacy Policy:
https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
3. Data Protection and User Rights
No PII: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or physical address.
Local Processing: Aside from advertising identifiers used by Meta, all sensitive application data (your shortcuts) remains on your device.
GDPR/RODO: Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) have rights regarding their data. The App complies with consent requirements for personalized advertising.
Data Deletion: Since we do not store any personal user data on our servers, there is no data to delete. However, users can reset their advertising identifier or opt-out of personalized ads at any time through their Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
4. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the App. Because your personal shortcuts are stored locally, the risk of remote data breaches is minimized.
5. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our App or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available in the App or via the Google Play Store.
