Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how StampScanner (the "App") handles information when you use it.


1. Information We Access and Why


- Camera and Photos: The App uses your camera, or a photo you choose from your gallery, to identify and value postage stamps. When you scan, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API (a service of Google LLC) solely to generate the identification and valuation. To estimate current market prices, the service may run Google Search queries about the identified stamp. We do not store your photos on our own servers. Google processes this data under its own terms: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms and https://policies.google.com/privacy

- Region and Language: Together with the photo, the App sends your device's country and language settings (for example "PL" / "pl") so that results can suggest relevant selling platforms. The App does not access your GPS location.

- Local Storage: Your scan history, saved stamps, favourites, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or back up this data to our servers.

- External Links: Results may include links to third-party websites (for example eBay or Google Images). These open in your browser and are governed by those websites' own privacy policies.

- Internet Access: Used to send photos for identification, to obtain configuration needed to access the identification service, and to process purchases.


2. In-App Purchases and Billing


The App offers premium subscriptions and a one-time ("lifetime") purchase.


- Payment Processing: All transactions are handled by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card numbers, bank details, or billing address.

- Transaction Data: Google Play provides us with purchase and subscription status (for example, order IDs and timestamps) so we can grant access to premium features.

3. Data Protection and Your Rights


- No Account, No Personal Profile: The App does not require an account and we do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.

- No Advertising or Analytics: The App does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers or analytics tools.

- No Selling of Data: We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

- GDPR / RODO: If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data and to object to its processing. Because your data is stored on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing scans in the App, clearing the App's data, or uninstalling the App.

- Children: The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.


4. Security


Your scan history is stored locally on your device. Data sent for identification is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).


5. Changes to This Policy


We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available at this link and in the Google Play Store listing.
