Privacy Policy — Tone AI

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Tone AI (the "App") accesses, uses, and protects information.


In short: Tone AI analyses your photo entirely on your device. Your face photos are never uploaded to us or to any server, and we do not operate any servers that store your data.


1. Information Accessed and Core Functionality


- Camera & Photos: With your permission, the App uses your camera to take a selfie, which it analyses on your device to determine your skin tone, hair and eye colours and your colour season. In the optional "Color Match" feature you can also take or pick a photo of a garment to check its colour against your palette. All photos are processed only on your device and are kept temporarily in the App's private storage for the analysis. Choosing a garment photo uses Android's built-in photo picker and does not require access to your whole gallery.


- On-Device Face Analysis: The App uses Google ML Kit Face Detection, which runs locally on your device, to locate your face and facial landmarks (for example your eyes) so it can sample skin, hair and eye colours. The App does not perform facial recognition, does not identify who you are, and does not create or store biometric identifiers or face templates. Your photo is not sent to Google or to us for this analysis.


- Local Storage: Your results (such as detected colours, your colour season and recommended palettes) and your settings are stored locally on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit this content to any external server.


- Sharing: A photo or result card leaves your device only if you tap "Share" and choose an app to send it to.


- Internet Access: Used to process purchases through Google Play Billing. Google ML Kit may send limited, anonymous diagnostic and usage information (such as device model and API performance metrics) to Google to maintain and improve the library; this never includes your photos or analysis results. 2. In-App Purchases and Billing


The App offers optional premium features through subscriptions.


- Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled securely by Google Play Billing. We never see, collect, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or physical address.


- Transaction Data: Google Play provides us with purchase and subscription status (such as Order IDs, product IDs and timestamps) so we can confirm and manage your access to premium features. Your premium status is stored locally on your device.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect


- We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or physical address.


- We do not require you to create an account or log in.


- We do not use advertisements, advertising identifiers, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.


- We do not upload, store, or sell your photos or facial data.


4. Data Retention and Deletion


Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can delete your results in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App, which permanently removes all locally stored data. Since we do not store your personal data on any server, there is no server-side data for us to delete. You can manage the camera permission at any time in your Android device settings.


5. Age Requirement and Children's Privacy


The App is intended for users aged 16 and over. The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.


6. Your Rights (GDPR / RODO)


Users in the European Economic Area and other regions have rights regarding their personal data. Because Tone AI does not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, export, or erase. All of your information remains under your control on your own device.


7. Security Measures


Because your photos and results are processed and stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us, the risk of a remote data breach involving your personal content is minimised. Protecting your device with a screen lock further protects your data.

9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
